Just settling down to spend my first night in FarFar Away. The lounge was tidied today after replacing the lounge doors so bedding down there. Don't really feel the need to use a bedroom. Just too lazy to carry everything upstairs after a few beers.
We went down to the local pub this evening to celebrate Maison's 12th birthday. In 2016 he turns into a teenager!
The last week was supposed to be spent deciding on which builder was going to do the extension to the new house. Some chance. Still haven't finalised which way round to have the kitchen and diner yet. Should the kitchen be at the back making a large dining room or go for a smaller dining room which opens onto the patio? Not sure either way.
The eye is still giving me trouble in small random ways at the moment. Some mornings I'll wake up and it is fine, others it seems to be fuzzy or out of focus making it hard to do the whole depth perception thing.
The lounge smells nice due to some flowers Jane bought me. She said the place needed girlyfying, whatever that means.
Tomorrow should see me deciding on the wood burning stove to buy so I specify how big to make the fireplace in the lounge.
