Just had a follow up consult at the REI. Generally the outlook is good. The small flashes I am seeing every now and again are not an issue apparently and shouldn't be of a concern. Mr Raman did say that my cataract has started already but can't say how long until my operation to remove it will be. Should be good to go to Brazil for at least one trip.
Mr Raman also said thank you for the little wallet lights I had dropped off at the last visit. Unfortunately he says he told everybody I had invented them. Oops.
Hope to be able to get back to normal again soon. It is a relative thing though, eh!
Need to go for eye test asap to see if the prescription has changed at all. Also allow me to get some new specs for the trip to work. Will look at cycling in with the trailer as a test. Will take it very easy, honest.
