8th July 2012

Yesterday I didn't do an entry to my blog. Probably due to number of factors, not least of which was playing with new toys.
Maison popped round with new computer which'd probably fit inside a cigarette packet. It's called a Raspberry Pi. The FAQ's can be found at www.raspberrypi.org/faqs. He plugged it into the telly and got it to load webpages and connect to the house network without any effort. It contains a boot image on an SD card and also handles wireless keyboard via Bluetooth. Can't wait to see it with XBMC installed on it.
Other than that didn't do anything except lie in the required posture positions.
Got another letter from the REI saying I had an appointment for the 18th July 2012. This letter is in addition to the one I already had for the 11th. Will need to check on Mon which one is valid.
Did however notice why the weather station isn't reporting any rainfall lately. IT IS BLOCKED. How do I know this? Well the collection bucket is now full to the brim. I'll need to give it a few more days before climbing the water tower to empty it and check it out.
Today hasn't been too much different.
The weather has been better today. Most of the day has been fine with not a lot of wind and not a little sunshine. Would have liked to go sailing again. Watched British Grand Prix on my tablet and then the Wimbledon final. Rain has stopped play at the moment.
They've now got the roof back on and it's restarting.
Murray lost
Yesterday I started to look into the steps needed to construct one of my own Android apps. Unfortunately today I found out that my netbook doesn't really have enough disk space left on it to cope. Also the screen is a little small. By the look of the design stage I'm going to need a bigger screen than I have at the moment. Somewhere in the 21" to 23" range maybe.
The bubble in the right eye is getting smaller everyday. Soon it will be irrelevant in helping the retina stay place. Once that happens I start doing little things around the house such as tidying the papers on the dining table etc,

Don't use paper to keep a record of this mail.
It may or may not be rubbish, that's for you to decide.
